This article presents the issue of detection of interdependence between the indicators of moving ability in fabrics and the characteristics of fabric formation phase according to Professor Novikov. Comparative analysis has been conducted on allocation of numerical values of ratio coefficients for the height of flexural waves and the indicators of moving ability of warp and weft threads according to formation phases. As a result, it is defined that the ratio of these coefficients in a random formation phase, is in inverse proportion to the ratio of moving ability indicators of related threads within a single woven intersection. Based on this, analytical relations connecting the characteristics of moving ability of threads with the fabric formation phase have been obtained. Thus, we defined the exact dependence of numerical values of indicators of warp and weft moving ability within a single woven intersection, on certain phase of fabric formation. The results of research make contribution to the development of prediction basics of certain indicators of single-layer woven fabrics
