Abstract

In foreign countries, an increase in the productivity of the linter was achieved mainly due to an increase in the speed of the saw cylinder on the linter, and the removal of the lint from the surface of the seeds was achieved due to the height of the saw teeth and the angle of inclination. However, in this way, the productivity of the linter did not significantly increase, on the contrary, an increase in the speed of the saw cylinder and the height of the saw teeth and the angle of deviation increased the degree of damage to the seeds during lintering by 2-3%, the degree of contamination of the short staple lint in the composition of the lint increased. Due to the increased damage to the seeds, such linter was not used to process the seed. An increase in the level of contamination of the lint and an increase in the amount of lint with a short staple lint in its composition sharply reduced the quality of the lint, which led to an increase in the amount of dust in the lintering workshop, which is harmful to human health and negatively affects the environment. Having studied the advantages and disadvantages of foreign and domestic equipment for seed lintering, the results of tests for the manufacture of grate-irons of an improved design with optimal sizes, which performs an efficient process of lintering the seeds by accelerating the exit of seeds from the working chamber for the 5LP litter, are presented. During the test period, comparative studies of lanters with an improved 5LP linter with a new grate profile and a linter with a simple grate structure were conducted. According to the results of research work, the quality indicator of seeds and lint obtained by lintering seeds of I and III grades in a 5LP linter with a new profile grate, compared with a 5LP linter with a simple grate design, improved by 0.16% (abs)% and 0,14 (abs)% and the line, respectively, 0.42 (abs)% and 0.31 (abs)%. In the proposed improved 5LP linter, seed productivity increased by 11.6 (rel.)% and 12.7 (rel.)%, as for lint productivity - by 12.3 (rel.)% and 16.9 (rel.)% higher.
