RENOVATION OF STRENGTH PROPERTIES OF GIN-LINТERED SAWS WITH A COPPER-CARBON SURFACE LAYER OF TONGS

Abstract

The article presents materials on the effectiveness of the mechanical method of surface hardening of teeth of ginning-linter saws having a decarburized surface layer. The restoration of the strength properties of this defective layer occurs due to deformation hardening due to plastic deformation of the metal, which continuously increases with an alternating processing regime. With the intensification of the process of plastic deformation, the density of dislocations increases, which prevent the crystallographic planes of the metal from slipping, and thus lead to an increase in their strength.
