Abstract

Carbamide formaldehyde resin was synthesized which modified with acrylic acid at different initial ratios. The chemical effect of some functionally active protein of keratin compound has been studied, and their effect of the sorption properties on karakul hides. It has been determined that processing a hair with modified carbamide formaldehyde resin in comparison with other functional compounds lead to decrease in its ability to absorb water vapor, which stipulate to an improvement in the physicochemical, mechanical and aesthetic properties of the finished product.
