The article presents the results of a study of the effect of the polyhedral grate of the manufactured polymer material on the cleaning effect and on the mechanical damage of seeds. To conduct experimental studies, a bench installation was made at Pakhtasanoat Ilmiy Markazi JSC and experiments were conducted on raw cotton of the selection variety S-6524 of the 1st grade of class 2 with an initial weediness of 5.4% and a moisture content of 8.2%. The analysis of the obtained experimental data shows that, when ehamining the tetrahedral grate, the cleaning effect of the machines is 60.2%, and when researching 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the face grates, the cleaning effect of the machines is 59.6, respectively; 58.6; 56.1 and 53.2%. And in studies of 9.10, 11, 12, and 13 face grates, the cleaning effect of the installation remains almost unchanged and amounts to 50.0–50.2%. Analysis of mechanical damage to seeds shows that, when using 4-sided grate, mechanical damage to seeds is 1.8%, and when using 5-sided grate, mechanical damage to seeds was 1.6%, and when using 6-sided grate, mechanical damage to seeds was 1.0% , and a further increase in the number of granules to 7 and 8 mechanical damage to the seeds does not change significantly and is 0.8 ÷ 0.82%
