Abstract

The article contains materials on the theoretical and experimental determination of the deformation force when cutting the teeth of the saw blade of cotton processing machines. The theoretical definition of the deformation force during cutting is based on the general schematic representation of the change in the deformation force when the punch is moved relative to the matrix during the sheet metal stamping process. This cutting operation consists of the elastic and plastic deformation of the metal being processed, and also of shearing. The experimental determination of the maximum deformation force was carried out by strain gauge when cutting a 0.95 mm thick sheet of U8G steel.
