Final Manuscript Preparation Guidelines for Irrigation and Melioration

This document provides details on typesetting and layout requirements pertaining to final manuscript submission to Irrigation and Melioration.

Formatting Requirements

  • Technical requirements for articles
  • In the journal, the title, authors and their posts, academic degree and place of work, abstract, keywords (in three languages), are printed in one column. The remaining texts of the material are printed in two columns. Articles should be executed in the text editor MS Word 2003-2010 and edited strictly according to the following parameters: orientation of the leaf - book, format A4, margins of 2 cm around the perimeter of the page, font Times New Roman, font size for the entire article, except for tables - 12 points, the font size for the tables is 10 pt, line spacing is 1.15, alignment to the width of the page, indention - 1 cm (without using the "Tab" or "Space" keys). Not allowed: pagination; Use of page breaks in the text; use of automatic pagination links; use of automatic transfers; Use of a sparse or compressed inter-letter interval. The tables are typed in the MS Word editor. Tables must have numbers and names that must be specified above the tables. See appendix 3. Graphic material (drawings, drawings, diagrams, photographs) should be generalized research materials. Graphic material should be of high quality, if necessary, the publishing house may require the submission of material in separate files in jpg format with a resolution of not less than 300 dpi. The names and numbers of the graphic material must be indicated below the image. See Appendix 4. Formulas and mathematical symbols must be executed either in MS Word using the built-in formula editor or in the MathType editor. See attachment 2. Tables, graphics and formulas should not be outside the specified fields. Keywords - are mandatory and should contain 5-10 words and phrases. Keywords and phrases are separated from each other by a comma. The above keywords should reflect the subject area of ​​the research very accurately. Abstract (in Uzbek, Russian and English) is required. The recommended volume of the abstract should not exceed 250 words, which should briefly reflect the structure of the article and be informative. Introduction. The introduction formulates the relevance of the study and describes the object of research. A review of the world scientific publications is presented, confirming the absence in the literature of the solution of this problem and indicating the predecessors on whose studies the work is based. The list of references should include at least 20 sources, not including hard-to-reach and normative sources, and not including references to Internet resources (which are not periodicals). The literature should not include textbooks, teaching aids, etc. Most sources should be accessible and understandable to international English-speaking readers. The sources are subject to stringent requirements for the level and relevance. See the complete requirements for the completeness and representativeness of the literature review. The aim and objectives of the research are formulated. Formulation of the problem. Specify which official documents the author relied on to solve the task and what results would be achieved. Methods. The methods described in detail the chosen method research. The method should be designed in such a way that another researcher can reproduce it. Results and examples. The results should preferably be presented in the form of tables, graphs, and other illustrations. This section includes an analysis of the results obtained, their interpretation, comparison with the results of other authors. - The confirmation. An optional section. Conclusions. Brief results of scientific research, research methods, evaluation of the results of their implementation from the economic point of view and other indicators are given. Bibliography. In which the authors are responsible for the fact that the information in each link is complete and accurate. All sources must be numbered in the sequence of references to them in the text of the article. References in the text should look like numbers in square brackets (for example, "as described by T. Sultanov [7]."; ", As described in [9, 10]."). All references to sources should be given in the text; otherwise the article will be rejected. See attachment 1. Information about the author should contain: a surname, a name, a patronymic, an occupied post, a scientific degree and a work place. This information should be presented both in the provided language of the article and in English and be located at the end of the article after the list of literature. Appendix 1 Samples of bibliographic descriptions General rules for bibliographic description are established by the state standard. For use in preparing a list of literature for a dissertation, the following samples of bibliographic description are recommended for different types of documents. The arrangement of examples in the above list can not serve as a scheme for grouping materials in the list of literature. The order of building the list is determined by the author himself. The most common ways of placing the material in the list of literature are alphabetic, systematic and in the order of mention in the text. In the abstract, the list of published works is given in chronological order strictly in accordance with the standard. In the bibliographic description, the following conditional separators are used. A colon (:) is placed before each individual summary relating to the title of the publication. One slash (/) - separates information not related to the title. Two slashes (//) - put after describing the constituent parts of the publication and before describing the publication. A dot or dash (.) 1. Books and series publications 1.1.
