Automation of technological process control of modern cars is becoming a requirement of the time. Automation provides a number of conveniences for drivers and passengers. Thus, cars equipped with an automatic steering transmission allow the driver to make efficient use of engine power in addition to convenience. This article presents a mathematical model of the method of calculating the engine and vehicle performance during the movement of a vehicle with an automatically controlled transmission in the software Matlab / Simulink. The development of this method is of practical importance. By simulating a mathematical model, we see how the system works performance, how it behaves under predetermined conditions, and how various parameters affect performance. To verify the accuracy of the mathematical model, the simulation result is compared with the parameters in the published technical description table of the vehicle. This model can be used to calculate the performance of any car equipped with an automatic transmission.
