SELECTION OF SPECTRAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A PHOTODETECTOR FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF ON-BOARD FIBER OPTICAL NETWORKS
Abstract
Currently, optical fibers are increasingly being used as sensors for the parameters of onboard aircraft systems. The paper presents an investigation of the spectral characteristics of a photodetector for the implementation of an on-board network of sensors. As investigation shows, the photosensitive multilayer semiconductor Au-GaAs:O-nCdS-nInP-Au structures formed by vacuum deposition of thin films of cadmium sulfide and indium phosphide on a single-crystal gallium arsenide substrate have sensitivity in a wide spectral range from 0,5 to 1,7 µm. The photodetector with the mentioned characteristics could be embedded into onboard PFONs.
