Abstract

The article depicts the basic calculation formulas for determining the horizontal component of the seismic impact of domestic and foreign standards in the construction of seismic areas. Accumulated in the process of deformation of compressed rock massifs, the potential energy in places where the internal forces exceed the frictional forces passes into the kinetic force, which leads to an earthquake.
