The article summarizes the experience of the archaeological findings of the ancient Penjikent. In Sogd, a special type of buildings was developed, influenced by the architectural traditions of Bactria-Tokharistan, which, in turn, are closely linked to the cultural heritage of Greece and the ancient Near East. This allows us to consider the history of Sogdian temples an integral part of the history of world architecture.
