Problems of Architecture and Construction

Abstract

Improving the energy efficiency of buildings in recent decades has become one of the main directions of development of the construction industry. It seems appropriate to focus on improving the heat-shielding properties of external walls and windows, as well as a reasonable limitation of infiltration of outside air. Energy saving is a complex task. The concept of an energy efficient home should include not only insulation of structures, but also specific engineering solutions for the ventilation and heating systems.
