Abstract

Dislocation syndrome is a complex of pathomorphological, pathophysiological and clinical signs of displacement of the cerebral hemispheres or cerebellum into the anatomical intracranial clefts and openings, followed by damage to the brain stem. All tumors, regardless of histogroups, can cause dislocation. The article is devoted to a review of domestic and foreign literature on the pathogenesis, clinic of dislocation syndrome in supratentorial brain tumors, depending on the type and stage of dislocation. The main method for eliminating dislocation syndrome is surgical. However, the problem of choosing one or another tactic of surgical treatment in severe patients remains controversial and unresolved to the end.
