In the literature review the importance of the correction of anemia in patients with non-dialysis stages of chronic kidney disease was discussed. The importance of definition of initial iron status before the therapy of renal anemia was described. The role of such indicators as ferritin, transferring, transferring saturation coefficient, as well as the role of inflammation during the erithropoiesis stimulation was described. The role of epoietins in the therapy of renal anemia was discussed as well.
