The article deals with the results of retrospective analysis of medical papers of 60 schoolchildren living in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. The inquiry covering key moments that makes influence on myopia formation at child., was suggested. By the results it was revealed that vision correction was not carried out at the first coming, it may be done on the second or third visit. The patents often had to come for vision correction another time or change the specialists. It was shown the necessity of joint efforts of ophthalmologists and optometerists, optimization of diagnostic examination, and, also to work out the schemes of rutes in treatment children with myopia
