Last years the number of surgeries at patients with pathology of liver increased. Therefore, the optimal and safe anaesthetic management for those surgeries are very topical. The article deals with analysis of 51 anaesthesia cases: 26 cases (51%) were multimodal balanced anaesthesia with izoflurane inhalation and 25 cases (49%) of multimodal balanced anaesthesia with continuous propofol infusion. Both techniques provided optimal anaesthetic protection, however sevoflurane had influences on liver metabolism more significantly.
