In the research it was examined the vasorelaxant effect associated with the chemical structures of the alkaloids - copsinin and its derivative N4-iodine methylate copsinine, isolated from the aerial parts of Vinca erecta plant on the contractile activity of the rat aortic smooth muscle. In the experiments, the vasorelaxant effect of copsinin and its derivative N4-iodine methylate copsinine is associated with the concentration and chemical structure, and a relationship with Са2+L-channel blockade in the plasmalemma of smooth muscle blood cells.
