Abstract

The article presents the results on the pattern of changes in the biological activity of soils that are common in the Aral Sea region depending on the degree of salinity and the seasons of the year. The nature of the seasonal dynamics of biological activity has its peak in the spring, gradually decreases in the summer and increases slightly in the autumn. It was revealed that at optimal values of the agrochemical and agrophysical properties of the studied soils, favorable conditions were created for the development of microorganisms, which resulted in a high intensity of soil respiration and increased enzyme activity. Thus, the activity of the studied enzymes was relatively high in non-saline and slightly saline irrigated soils, with an increase in the degree of salinization, their activity decreased to minimal values.
