The article deals with the psychological component of professional interest in the development of communicative culture of future teachers. The practical orientation of the study of professional interest is associated with the search, formation and maintenance of psychological conditions of professional interest in a particular activity. When developing a model of professional interest, the author relies on the situation when professional interest can be described as a personal development of the teacher, which arises and manifests itself in the interaction between the subject and a certain activity
