Goethe was not only an outstanding writer and poet, but also a great thinker of his time. He was distinguished by his political and social views and deep thinking. The article analyzes the problems that arose during the translation of his world-famous sentimental novel “The Torment of Young Werther” into Uzbek, as well as the comments of a number of translators.
