Abstract

This article examines the priorities of Japan’s tourism policy and the state of the roadmap for tourism to address them. In addition, special attention is paid to the impact of the Japanese tourism industry on the country's socio-economic indicators, the development of tourism and the process of measures to eliminate obstacles to tourism goals. The analytical part of the article describes the organizational structure of Japanese tourism authorities, tourism expenditures, domestic, inbound and outbound tourism, budgeted tourism expenditures, tourism consumption, tourism enterprises and employment, the positive aspects of tourism road map priority initiatives.
