Chemical Technology, Control and Management


The calculation of the statics of the rectification process is considered. The method of calculating the material and heat balances in the program MathCAD Prime 3.0 is presented. The proposed method involves calculating the pressure in a column based on the preliminary determination of the temperature of the total condensation of distillate vapors, the complexity of which is due to the nonlinear character of the dependence of the equilibrium constants on temperature. According to the Underwood equations, the minimum and working reflux ratio is calculated in the processes of multicomponent rectification. The theoretical number of plates of the column is calculated and the position of the food plate is determined.
