The Light of Islam

Abstract

This article illuminates the theory of pedagogy of Islamic education, scientific approaches and the history of teaching Islamic education in the territory of Central Asia. Furthermore, on the example of the state of Islamic educational institutions, the paper highlights the ideological directions of various concepts of the theory of education, which developed in the pedagogy of Islamic education. Along with this, the paper describes important aspects of three models of education in the system of Islamic spiritual education that are identified and characterized.

Analyzing the reforms in the field of education of the Islamic world and their directions, representatives of traditional religious education, which formed the traditional teaching of the first model, consider it necessary to study the Arabic language, Islamic primary sources, the Koran, Sunnah, Sharia, which are the basis of religious education. The second model of education, widely used in the pedagogy of Islamic education, is called modernism or modern Islamic education. Representatives of this direction, while remaining adherents of the traditional foundations of learning, support progressive processes in public life and appreciate the contribution of Muslims to the development of civilization, welcoming innovations in Muslim education. Adherents - fundamental Islamic education is the third model of education, positively assess the radical interpretation of the doctrine of Islam. At the same time, they negatively relate to cultural achievements, traditional rites and customs of not only for Muslims, but also other nationalities.
