Abstract
The article theoretically studies the transfer of polarized radiation in layers of atmosphere with finite thickness, within the limits of Chandrasecar theory. The angular characteristics of the degree of polarization of reflected and transmitted radiation at excitation of the atmosphere layer by natural non-polarized solar radiation are calculated. It is shown that in the polarization characteristics of diffusely reflected solar radiation, there are also three neutral polarization points, similar in the characteristics of diffusely missed radiation.
