Abstract

The influence of the physical characteristics of the elements of the ionization system semiconductor-gas discharge gap on its sensitivity and the quality of the images is considered. An analysis of the patterns of image formation based on experimental studies and theoretical estimates showed that the high-frequency mode of the supply voltage determines the relatively low efficiency of modulation of the current by the input illumination, which is a consequence of the increasing role of the capacitive component of the conductivity of the photodetector at high frequencies and an increase in the resistance of the recording part (emulsion ) at low frequencies.
