The article presents the possibility of reducing the operating costs of downhole pumping units. The results of the energy survey and instrumental measurements of the ETsV (ЭЦВ) 10-255-30 borehole pump are presented. On the basis of Matlab / Simulink, a model of an often-controlled electric drive of a well pumping unit was created. According to the results of simulation, the system has the best energy performance in the case of frequency control of the well pump performance.
