The acute toxicity of the herb of Phlomis thapsoides, grown on the territory of Uzbekistan, was studied. Acute toxicity studies were conducted according to a conventional method on white mongrel mice (both sexes). From the herb was prepared infusion, which was administered orally, at five dose levels. As a result, it was found that the infusion of Phlomis thapsoides herbs is highly harmless, since LD50> 6000 mg / kg - the preparation belongs to the fifth toxicity class (almost non-toxic). The presence in the infusion of potential sedative and neurotropic activity was also established.
