Culture and Arts of Central Asia


This article addresses the issues of the Director's interpretations of classical works, with special attention to productions of Shakespeare's tragedies. Discusses the performances created by the Directors of the European and Eastern theatres of the second half of the 20th century and early 21st century. Defines the main directions of modern art.
