Abstract

The article aims to reveal the fundamentals of such an aspect of dynamic processing of recorded sound as compression. Currently, the requirement for the sound recording has been increasing due to the growth of technical and computer capabilities in the field of sound recording, particularly it concerns to electronic music. The article discusses various sound compression parameters that affect the change of the dynamic range, as well as gives practical recommendations for the use of compression in the work of the sound director.
