WHAT IS A NATIONAL GUM?

Abstract

In recent years, the general direction of Uzbek national art is changing. An examples of this is the deperture of nationalism, the inclusion of strange music in our music, and the incompatibility of other nationals instruments with our nationals instruments. The Uzbek people have their own unique "Gum (uzbek national tune)" (ғум) melody and slate of tune, unlike any other nation. This article discusses the importance of national "gum" (uzbek national traditional tune) in the spiritual and spiritual development of our people, espicially our youth. Because the loss of national "gum" will cause spiritual damage not only the pr esent generation but aslo to the futur e generation.
