Abstract

The article deals with the solutions of the problems of the current state and prospects for the development of the raw materials base of ferrous metallurgy. It is shown that the satisfaction of the republic's requirements in the production of ferrous metallurgy is possible on the basis of the use of iron ore deposits of the republic, as well as the active involvement in the production of secondary iron-containing technogenic formations of local metallurgical industrial enterprises. It is established that, after the extraction of iron from the tailings of the concentrators, only the sand fraction remains in them, which can be sent to the construction industry.
