Abstract

In the article the results of carrying out cyclic thermal treatment for the purpose of increasing the abrasive wear resistance of steel specimens are considered. The results of the study of the abrasive wear resistance of samples made of 65G steel are shown. To improve the abrasive wear resistance of low- alloy steels, cyclic heat treatment at various temperatures is proposed. A certain optimal variant of preliminary cyclic heating to a temperature of 450 ° C of 65G steel can provide an increase in abrasive wear resistance up to 20% in comparison with conventional induction hardening.
