Abstract
The article elucidates the some theoretical basis and main problems relating to the process of teaching listening at technical colleges and universities. The author tried to sufficiently analyze the professional-oriented training, new methods and styles of this activity. Besides, it has also been given some proposal improving listening skills by using modern information technologies and in some insufficient situations as well.
